Ministries

Binding Hearts Quilt Ministry

A group of quilters who meet the 2nd Monday of each month (9 AM to 2 PM) to make quilts for the local adult survival house and abuse shelter.  No sewing or quilting experience is needed.  Bring a sack lunch, a friend, and a sewing machine (if you want to sew).

Adult Survival Shelter

Each month the church collects supplies for the local Adult Survival House and Abuse Shelter.  Items are collected throughout the month.  After the 4th Sabbath of the month the items are taken to the shelter.  A list of supplies can be found in the bulletin each week.

Pathfinders and Adventurers

We now have youth activities for the children and teens.  Pathfinders and Adventurers is similar to scouts.  First and foremost, the youth learn about Jesus and how to have a relationship with Him.  Secondly, the young people have the opportunity to learn outdoor and life-skills by completing activities to earn honor badges, learn about God's creation through nature, and use outdoor skills during camp outs.

Youth meet Wednesday nights from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Church, in the upstairs Youth Activities Room.

2024 will be a big year for the Pathfinders as they have the opportunity to attend the International Pathfinder Camporee (IPC) in Gillette, WY.  The IPC is held once every five years and is attended by ~55,000 Pathfinders, staff, and parents/caregivers from around the world.  For a number of our youth, this will be the only IPC they will have the opportunity to attend because of their age.  We are currently raising funds to attend IPC.   Tickets for IPC are $225 per youth, plus travel expenses. If you feel impressed to support our youth, please go to the online giving page.  Under the local ministries choose either youth/club ministries or International Camporee. Thank you.

Buddy Break - Coming in 2024

Buddy Break is a parent and caregiver day out respite care ministry.  Caring for a family member with a chronic medical condition and/or disability requires far more energy and dedication than many people realize.  It is emotionally, spiritually, and physically challenging.  Often times caregivers spend so much caring for their loved one they have little time to care for themselves.  Buddy Break is a ministry that provides respite to caregivers for a few hours each month.  Caregivers drop their special needs family member at church where specially trained and vetted Buddy Break volunteers provide enriching activities (games, devotional/story time, healthy snacks) and care for three hours.  The family knows their special needs loved one will be safe while they can take a rest, run errands, etc., for a few hours. Please check back to see when this ministry becomes active.
